So...starting with the oldest, I will do a quick update and then try to keep up to date from here on out!
She is going through a phase where she seems to talk like a teenager (talking back to us and all!) which we have to laugh about [when she is not looking]. She LOVES to play pretend, especially with little dolls or princesses. She loves to have her hair braided [like Repunzel]. This kid makes me laugh because when I found out I was having a girl, I actually spoke the words, "I am fine having a girl, but I refuse to ever do anything Disney Princess." hahahahahahaha....I don't know why I even said that but this kid is 100% a Disney princess kid! We have the barbies, little dolls, dress up clothes, princess sandals, Princess jammies...you name it, our house is decorated with it! Keira loves her little sisters (sometimes a little too much). She is normally a fairly gentle child [unless Libby attacks her] but tends to get her feelings hurt easily. She is sensitive and caring. If I cry about something, she cries too...just because she feels sad for me. As much as I don't want her to be sad, I LOVE the compassion that I see in her that God has blessed her with. It is a trait that I hope we can always realize she has and help her to keep it and grow it. Keira learned how to write her own name about a month ago and is extremely proud of herself. (I must admit, this is something that makes me so happy because I taught her...which makes the thought of homeschooling, just a little less scary to me!)
Keira loves to pray. Her prayers at dinner and bedtime often include a variety of friends and family members and have also recently included praying for the prince that she will marry someday. At first, I laughed at this, but then I realized, it is NEVER too early to start praying for her future spouse and if this is how she starts...so be it!
When Keira came to visit me in the hospital after Janessa's birth, she stated (without being asked) that when she grows up, she doesn't want to be a doctor anymore, but she wants to be a mommy. I know that most people dream of their kids growing up to be doctors, but I'd love to see her be a stay-at-home mom. I think this week she is back to wanting to be a doctor, but....she's only 3!
lol - Sariah always says "after I go nigh-night what'll we do?"
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this little girl! I also declared when finding out we were having a girl to not drown her in pink. And so far, it is her favorite color! Figures!
