Learning to Read

For part of our New Year, we have decided to really start teaching Keira to read. Mostly because she wants to. It also happens to be one of biggest fears about homeschooling. I have a great desire for my children to love reading  and to be strong readers. I know that I can't so much control whether they like it or not (especially with a husband who really doesn't love reading) but I can try!

So..she knows her letters and her letter sounds but at the recommendation of many others, I have decided to  use the resource "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons". We read a lot. We write a lot. So...this is our next thing. Keira is very excited and altTeach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessonshough we are only on day 2 today, she seems to really like it in addition to her other preschool "work"!
